The lever will move up a little bit and then it stops and you can feel resistance to any more movement.<\/p>\n<p>This is what it looks like&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericjoannes.com\/fixedit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/IMG_3976.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ericjoannes.com\/fixedit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/IMG_3976-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3976\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>First we pull up some of the carpet to remove two bolts:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/ericjoannes.com\/fixedit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/IMG_3977.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/ericjoannes.com\/fixedit\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/IMG_3977-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_3977\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I then realized that I did not need to remove the mechanism, so bolts went back in.<\/p>\n<p>The problem was that the lock mechanism was broken and the lock latch was closed, preventing the lever from moving up.
